CIRO was a thematic division of AIRO (The Italian Society of Operations Research, Optimisation and Decision Sciences)
until 2015, with the
aims of:

promoting and coordinating methodological and applied research activities of Universities and
Public Research Institutions in the field of Operations Research and Optimization Methods;
-
encouraging activities concerning the development of researchers’ training programs and Ph. D. courses;
-
promoting and facilitating information exchange among researchers in the OR field;
-
stimulating interdisciplinary scientific co-operations among researchers and with private or public bodies.
